Twenty-five trees were planted at the railway reserve on Ringarooma Road in 1918 for the village's fallen soldiers. When the old pines became unsafe, they were carved into figures and scenes by chainsaw artist Eddie Freeman. There is a picnic area and toilets, and it's a moving ten-minute stop in the north-east.
