Frampton's Hut

A basic standard hut sitting in a flat clearing on a broad ridge above Falls Creek, with six bunks and handwashing facilities. It costs nothing and cannot be booked. Two tracks lead in, one of 1.5 hours and one of around 4 hours, both graded intermediate or harder.

Good to know

• Clean your boots at the kauri dieback stations and keep to the track
• No booking, so go prepared to find it full
