From the end of Hollyford Road, an easy track follows the river across boardwalks and a swing bridge to Hidden Falls, then on to a 12-bunk hut a few minutes further. It stays down in the valley, so it works as a bad-weather option. Mt Madeline shows from the hut on a clear day.
