A car park on the Cromwell–Lindis Pass highway starts a short walk to the best-preserved example of herringbone tailings in the country, left by ground sluicing. The platform looks over Lake Dunstan, Cromwell and the Pisa Range. The route crosses private land to reach the reserve, so follow the marker poles and stay off the tailings.
