A no-frills campsite near the Rakaia Gorge run by caretakers. There is no power, but gas-heated showers are free and there is a covered area for cooking and dishes if you bring your own stove. A 1.9 km easy out-and-back walk to a lookout starts from the site, and jet boat trips run on the braided river nearby.
