Sheltered white-sand cove just east of Cape Reinga, with a simple DOC campsite behind the beach.

A short side road off the Cape Reinga road drops to a curved bay with a stream running onto the sand. It is a quiet base for the cape and for Te Paki dunes the next day. Facilities are basic and it is a long way from shops.

- Stock up in Kaitaia or Houhora, there is nowhere to buy food nearby
- Swim only when the surf is small, the bay can have rips
