A short walk from the car park by the Ruakituri Road bridge leads to a view of the 35 m waterfall where two rivers meet to form the Wairoa River. It is best after rain. The reserve sits on the inland route from Wairoa towards Gisborne and is of deep importance to Ngai Kohatu, so treat it with respect.
