The track starts at the road end at Jackson Bay, 48 km south of Haast, and crosses the Okahu wildlife refuge to a rocky shore on Ocean Beach. At low tide the rock pools are good for kids. Turn back the way you came, as the coast beyond is rugged and unsafe.
