A DOC hut about 2 to 3 hours up the Miners Track from the Jig Road car park, with bunks, a woodburner and a campsite. Nearby are water caves about 20 minutes' walk away and an emerald pool 10 minutes off. A volunteer warden is usually in residence from October to April.
