Cautley Spout is a series of cascades down Cautley Crag in the Howgill Fells, among the tallest falls in northern England. The path starts at the roadside near the Cross Keys and climbs gradually; the lower falls are an easy stroll, the upper ones need a scramble. The surrounding hills look like a rolled-out tablecloth.
