Kenilworth Castle is managed by English Heritage and is mostly in ruins, but remains a remarkable semi-royal palace of the later Middle Ages. It was the scene of the six-month Siege of Kenilworth in 1266, thought to be the longest in medieval England. An Elizabethan garden has been recreated.
