3 hours

Stac Pollaidh is a small hill with a spiky sandstone crest and far-reaching views over lochs and mountains. The path climbs from a car park on Loch Lurgainn, and a circuit of the base takes about 3 km. The summit ridge needs a bit of hands-on scrambling, so skip it if you are not keen on exposure.

Good to know

  • Allow 2 to 3 hours for the climb
  • Path is eroded and steep in places
  • Circular base path is easier and still scenic
