Steel Rigg is the road-end car park for the walk to Sycamore Gap along the crest of Hadrian's Wall. The famous sycamore was cut down in 2023 but the dramatic dip and crags remain, and new growth has appeared from the stump. It is about a mile each way over steep steps.
