Dixie Travel Plaza
McLean, Illinois
One of Route 66's oldest truck stops, going since 1928 as the Dixie Truckers Home.
- Time to allow
- 45 min
A big travel plaza on the old Route 66 corridor that grew out of a 1928 trucker stop. It is a reliable place to eat, fuel up and stretch your legs half-way down Illinois. It is a working truck stop rather than a quaint diner, so go for the history and a decent meal.
