Hume Lake sits at about 5,200 ft in the Sequoia National Forest, a few miles off the Kings Canyon Scenic Byway. The lake is good for swimming and non-motorised paddling, and Grant Grove and General Grant Tree are about 15 minutes away. It makes a calmer alternative to the park campgrounds.
