La Fonda on the Plaza

A long-running hotel right on the Santa Fe Plaza, rebuilt in Pueblo style in the 1920s and a fixture of the old trail's end. Staying here means galleries, the cathedral and plenty of New Mexican food are all a short walk from your room, and you can leave the car parked. Rooms are pricey, so book ahead in summer and at Indian Market time.
