Lake Chicot is a 22-mile oxbow lake that was once the main channel of the Mississippi River, and the state park on its shore offers camping among big cypress trees. The scene feels like a bayou, with plenty of birds and fishing. It is one of the more distinctive places to stay in the Arkansas Delta.
