Anaura Bay is a long curve of sand on a short detour off SH35, north of Tolaga Bay. Swimming is generally safe and the northern end has the start of a coastal walkway. It is a lovely spot for a picnic.

- The turn-off is about 12 minutes north of Tolaga Bay
- Take your own food, there is little in the bay
