Tokomaru Bay south freedom camping

A council freedom camping area on Waiotu Road near the beach, open free from 1 May until Labour weekend and closed over summer. It suits a slow stop on the East Cape loop, with the old wharf and the Te Puka Tavern a short drive away. Bring everything you need as there are no facilities listed.

• The north site opposite Potae Street runs the same season
