Start at Triangle Flat car park near Pūponga, walk through farmland and coastal bush to Ocean Beach, then follow the beach to Fossil Point. It is foot access only, with no dogs allowed. Keep 20 m from seals, and watch for quicksand in flat sand pans among the dunes.
