From the end of Ngahau Bay Road the route runs along the beach and then up onto farmland and bush edge towards Paparahi Point. There are no formed tracks, but pohutukawa, a pa site on Boat Shed Point and lots of birdlife reward the effort. The views from the high ground are good on a clear day.
