A relaxed camp just inside the entrance to Whangaruru Harbour, with Ōākura Beach on one side and Ohawini Bay on the other. There is a fully equipped camp kitchen, a small store, laundry with washers and dryers, a boat wash and fish-filleting bay, and kayaks for hire. Dolphins and the occasional orca are seen in the harbour.
