A glacial lake in a bowl of cliffs, reached by a well-made path from the Ogwen car park in about 20 minutes. The loop around the water is flat enough for most people. Darwin once studied the rocks here.

- Park at Ogwen Cottage and bring change for the car park
- Bad weather turns the ridge above into a no-go; the lake loop stays easy
