Pen-y-Pass is a high car park at the top of the Llanberis Pass. The Pyg Track and Miners' Track both leave from here and reach Yr Wyddfa in roughly three hours up. It is a proper mountain walk, so go with decent boots and a weather check.

Good to know

  • Car park is small, fills before 8am and is paid; the Sherpa bus runs from Llanberis and nearby
  • Check the summit forecast, it is often much colder and cloudier than the car park
